The .38 Smith and Wesson revolver is one of Skulduggery's main weapons, preferring to first use the gun over magic. The make of Skulduggery's gun was revealed in Derek Landy's blog[1].

- Although Skulduggery only uses a single revolver, it is revealed that he has two in Playing With Fire, using the second during the fight with The Grotesquery.
- The style and make may be a homage to Indiana Jones, who uses a .45 Smith and Wesson with a shortened barrel
- Skulduggery is the only one to ever use his pistols
- He keeps the revolvers in a set much like the tranq guns
