Auger Darkly is the Chosen One and the older twin brother of Omen Darkly. He belongs to a Legacy family, and as such only chose his first name. He is romantically involved with Never.
He attends Corrival Academy along with his brother, both in their fifth year. He is very popular and people recognize his name even outside his school. Omen is often mistaken with Auger. His two closest friends include Kase and Mahala, fellow classmates who help him with his many heroic adventures. He chose them as his friends because they don't only like him because of his popularity or the prophecy. He loves his brother Omen, who feels his life is boring and uneventful, and tries to shield him from his adventures. It is shown that Auger dislikes his life, and feels immense pressure to live up to the prophecy.

Seasons of War[]
Auger and Omen kill the The Unnamed with the Obsidian Blade. Auger begins a romantic relationship with Never.
Dead or Alive[]
Auger is upset about his recent breakup with Never and is still recovering from his latest injuries.
Auger uses the broken obsidian blade in an attempt to kill Cadaver Cain but instead the blade is turned on him and he is stabbed while experiencing his surge causing him to turn into the monstrosity, Obsidian. it is beleived that a sliver of the obsisdian blade broke off and went into augers eye when he killed the king of the darklands and he absorbed that peice of the blade which is also why he didnt die when cadaver cain stabbed him with the broken obsidian blade.
Until the end[]
Auger now being Obsidian, seems to have little recollection of who he once was. the only thing left of Auger is his distrust in the faceless ones and his memory of his brother Omen, this is shown as he sticks to the shadows, killing worshippers of the dark gods.
Auger is brought back by Darquesse when she recreates the entire world off of her memories...
Personality[]
Auger is very kind and tries to help everywhere possible, he is also described to have style.
He underwent a lot of training in martial arts and magic. Omen also took part in the training but he was "the living sandbag" and Auger was ordered to hit him many times. Auger didn't enjoy hurting his brother.
