Caterpillars is the first-ever book published by Gordon Edgley. Sebastian Fawkes mockingly asked if there was a prequel, Larvae, and a sequel, Butterflies. Gordon didn't realise Fawkes was joking and said they were in the pipeline. It is unknown if they were ever published or not.
Unlike Gordon's other novels, Caterpillars is unlikely to be based on Gordon's firsthand experience of magic or the creatures in the caves beneath the house that he would later purchase.
Blurb[]
For years, caterpillars have been seen as harmless insects, a danger to only leaves and the income of farmers. But now a new breed has emerged. Changed. Evolved. MUTATED.
And this time they are hunger for HUMAN FLESH.
