The Darquesse Society, sometimes known as The Darquesse Cult, is a group of sorcerers, presumably all Roarhaven citizens, who gather frequently to discuss Darquesse and attempt to aid in her return. Some members hide the fact that they worship Darquesse and others are hated because of it. Despite the generally negative goal, The Darquesse Society is generally considered a happy group of people. The cult was started in Tantalus's living room.

Customs

At the beginning of each meeting, the leader of the society says a chant to formally begin the meeting. The members repeat some parts of the chant. The chant is as follows:

"I hereby call this meeting of the Darquesse Society to order. Blessed be her name. We have gazed into the face of God and we found love."

When in a rush, such as when the box found Darquesse and the group was awaiting information, only the first line is used, and only by the leader.

Timeline

Time	Details
Unknown time after Devastation Day.	Founding of the group in Tantalus's living room.
Resurrection	Sebastian meets and helps Bennet. Sebastian is invited to join group.
Midnight	Sebastian meets the group. Forby is part of the examination team for the box that opened the Leibniz portal. Sebastian, Bennet, and Tantalus break into The Dark Cathedral via a secret entrance and obtain a cleaver scythe with Faceless Ones blood. Tantalus attacks Sebastian with a knife while exiting the cathedral. Faceless Ones' DNA is obtained from the blood. Tantalus is kicked from the group and Sebastian is elected leader. Search for The Faceless Ones' universe (using the box) begins.
Bedlam	The box finds Darquesse. The group smuggles Silas Nadir into Roarhaven. He opens the portal. Sebastian enters the portal, riding Lily's yellow scooter. Sebastian finds Darquesse's corpse. He finds out that she is fighting the Faceless Ones in a magical form. He begins the trek home towards the portal, saddened. Darquesse goes up to him, reunited with her old body. She silently agrees to go home with him.
Seasons of War	Darquesse stays unmoving in Lily's spare room for three months.
