The French Sanctuary was the Sanctuary based in France. Its (assumed) current Grand Mage is Mandat, who is generally disliked and is rumoured to have risen to power solely as a result of his intriguing. He succeeded Grand Mage Trebuchet, a well-liked man who was a friend of Corrival Deuce before his fall from power.
The science department of the French Sanctuary is ran by Lamour, a man with a love of riddles and Ornithology.
The Marseille Sanctuary was raided by Mevolent's forces, its defences were disabled by China Sorrows, Jaron Gallow, and the Diablerie, the former using their expertise as Signum Linguists to clear the way for Mevolent and his men.

The War of the Sanctuaries[]
It joined the Supreme Council against Ireland during the War between Sanctuaries. Towards the beginning of the war, the Dead Men infiltrated the Sanctuary to reclaim the Engineer, which was being examined in a laboratory there. The Dead Men got in via a secret tunnel that only former grand mage Trebuchet knew about.

During The War it was located in Marseille but when it fell it was relocated to Paris after it was suggested by Grand Mage Trebuchet, the Grand Mage at the time.
