Commander Hoc is the commander of the City Guard. It is mentioned in resurrection that when Skulduggery Pleasant resigned from the city guard he took over. Commander Hoc is suspected to be corrupt. He first appears in Bedlam and again in Seasons of War where he issues an arrest warrant against Kierre of the Unveiled, so she asks if she can stay in Temper Fray's house.
