Kineticism[1] is a discipline of Adept magic that allows the practitioner to absorb kinetic energy from impacts to themselves, and convert it into raw physical strength.
For hundreds of years, Kineticism was an extinct discipline. Eventually, a young mage attempted to revive it and become the first Kineticist in centuries, but, according to Skulduggery Pleasant, was "really bad at it". Skulduggery mentions this to Fletcher Renn in 2013 to help him understand his responsibilities as the last Teleporter, but the story leaves Fletcher nonplussed.

- ↑ Though practitioners are called 'Kineticists', there is no official name for the discipline itself. The wiki assumes that it is 'Kineticism' and not 'Kinesis' because practitioners are not known as 'Kinetics' and thus the name does not follow the pattern of Arborkinesis and Vitakinesis.
