The MacGillycuddy's Reeks was a mountain range in Kerry. It contained The Receptacle. Skulduggery Pleasant and Tanith Low used it to capture all but one of the Remnants.

The Receptacle

The Recaptacle was a giant Soul Catcher. In the past, it was used to capture Remnants that had taken over Kerry. To go the the Receptacle, one required the key. However, the key was split in half, with one halfwas taken by Burgundy Dalrymple and the other was stored within a church. The Receptacle was used once again to capture the Remnants, although one escaped and bonded with Tanith Low.
