Plot[]
In Myosotis Terra, Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain are sent by the German Sanctuary to rescue their missing agent, Myosotis Terra. Myosotis is revealed to have the magical ability to be forgotten as soon as she is out of sight. She is only remembered when she is seen, or if she gives an object to a person.
Valkyrie continues to forget what they are doing and who they are searching for, due to Myosotis' power. They travel to a cave, the last place Myosotis was seen. Skulduggery and Valkyrie enter, only to be attacked by insane sorcerers who refuse to live under mortal influence. They kidnap Valkyrie and Skulduggery, revealing that they are cannibals who plan to eat Valkyrie and feed part of her to the Beast.
Valkyrie and Skulduggery are tied down. Myosotis finds Valkyrie and frees her. Myosotis tells Valkyrie she was sent after another German mage who disappeared here, and Valkyrie reveals the mage is dead. Myosotis complains she has been looking for said mage, which was the reason for her prolonged absence.
Skulduggery, Valkyrie, and Myosotis all manage to escape after a fight with the cannibals. Myosotis gives Valkyrie a bracelet so that she can remember her.
