Proinsias was a mortal that Valkyrie, Skulduggery, Saracen, Tanith, Dexter, Luke, and Serpine met in their quest through Dimension X. He was being chased by Draugar that bit him before Valkyrie and Luke fought them off. They gave Proinsias some food and shelter that night, but it was heavily implied that Skulduggery was forced to kill him upon his transformation into a Draugar.
