Rose Matthews is the mother of Byron Grace. She is a mortal and she lives in Ballyfermot. Despite her son having magic, she is unaware of it and hasn't taken a name. Her son dislikes her and that dislike pushed him to join Arcanum's Scholars. She is said not to care about her son and it is said that she is unhappy when he is happy.
