Sense-Wardens are Sensitives that live in Mevolent's dimension. They parade the streets and listen for any thought about The Resistance or any illegal thoughts/behaviors. They are escorted by Redhoods. They specialize in interrogative mind-reading, similarly to several known Supreme Council operatives. Unlike the Redhoods, they appear to have some sense of autonomy and subsequently refuse to attack the mind of Valkyrie Cain, for fear of releasing Darquesse.
Sense Wardens are capable of causing pain mentally, in order to assist the Redhoods in their arrests. In this respect, they are similar to the member of Foe's Gang: Obloquy. They can override most psychic defenses, leading to China Sorrows, the former leader of the Resistance, allocating means for Resistance operatives to kill themselves before being probed.
There are limits to their powers however, they were unable to extract the location of the Book of Names from Eachan Meritorious. As a result, key captives are usually interrogated using conventional torture techniques by Mevolent, Lord Vile, and Baron Vengeous respectively. In the case of Meritorious, it is implied that these three became bored: entrusting his torment to regular guards.
